I attended the lecture yesterday!

I went to the lecture which called understanding colour yesterday. I'm really interested in colour. Why can we see a lot of colour? What is the colour? Acutually I took this lecture in last session and it was really interedted for me and I found that I liked the professor so I decided to go there again.
I was doodling during the first 30 minututes because the teacher announced bunch of imformation about the exam. It was very important for students but not me. I already knew that usually, the most important imformation would announced at the bigining of the lecture. If I were a student who have to pass this cours I would liten the announcement really really crefully, but this time I just relaxed and prepared for lecture as I was scribbling funny British man on the margin of paper. She mentioned the test includes the psychology and colour which they already did before. I'm really interested in that topic, so I regrated that I didn't take this lecture before.
This time the professor taught as "chemistry of surface colour" which sounds very boring, yet soon I realized I was wrong! Although there were a lot of technical words such as "chromospherere" or "molecular", after 10 minutes review, I could understood what she was talking about. I think she is a great presenter because her style to lead the students were very helpful so even if I'm studing English I could follow her easily. This time, I couldn't understand why the students didn't reply the questions which the professor gave us. They were not so difficult so I knew the answere. I wanted to rise my hand!
She taught us the mistery of diamond. She explained why pure diamond is colourless or why there are coloured diamonds, what makes them coloured. It was really really interesting!!! I can write it down little bit about that but it might be very very long wrinting and I don't think I can explaine well like the professor did.
At the bigining of the lecture, the professor asked as "Who are you?". One thing I feel weired is that YUELI didn't tell anything to professores about we would come to the lecture. I think if YUELI requires us to sign up the sheet which is in NEXUS, YUELI should tell someting to professores. I heard from my previous teacher that there are limited special seets for YUELI students which professores accepted. If it is ture, professores might know about us.
Anyway, I enjoyed and learned a lot from yesterday's lecture.

!!CN Tower!!

I went to CN tower on last Wednesday as YUELI trip. It can't be a university report, but it was fun so please let me talk...

On the way to go there, the bus which I rode met an accident!!! Our bus and an Benz hit each other, and the Benz driver said he was going to call the police. All students stuck in the bus like half an hour because the Benz blocked the front door!!! The inside of the bus was terribly hot becausue there was no air conditioner and too much students. We escaped from the back emergency door to another bus which came to help us, and it was like a movie!!!! The bus driver said it was better to choose two big men to help all people to jump off the bus because the back door was pretty high from the ground. Two big studends volunteered soon. When I jumped off the bus, that two men hold my both right and left arms and screamed "Jump! Jump!!" and "Don't be scared! Hurry!!" It happened on the center lane of the road in downtown during lot of cars passed us!! It was just like a movie!!!

At the CN tower, two young men spoke to me. "Excuse me. He said he wants to talk to you" one young man said, pointing another man. The man who had long loooong hair and wore little shabby clothes seemed he can't speak English because his friend transrated everything. The long hair man came from somewhere in Europe, but I couldn't chatch every words which his friend translated in English. His friend spoke so fast, so I think his friend was Candadian. I greeted politly and then the long hair man whispered something to his friend. His friend said "He said you're beautiful" with full smile on his face. "Well, thank you..." I said. "He said please come here" his friend said to me and the long hair man gestured "come here". There was a little distance bewteen he and me. I was suspicious because he looked like little bit weird guy. The long hair man read my mind and he did another gesture "I'm not ganna do anything to you just come here please!" something like that as he was speaking something which was all Greek to me. And his friend said "Please please come." I said "I'm too scare to move. Sorry." to him with a frown. That was actually true because I was outside and I have high phobia. Soon after, the long hair man gave up to speak to me. He really looked like a some kind of nerd, but it might be my stereotype. Oh by the way, his friend was really really handsome...

The veiw was really really beautiful although it was too high for me and I almost fainted! I could see the night view because I arrived at there very late. I felt like I'm floated in the air...

When I lined up for elevetor to go down, I met a really cute little boy. He was like 3-4 years old, and he said "I'm a tiger! Garhhhhhhhhhhh!!" I really love children so I played with him for a while. He was a really strong tiger!

I was exhausted when I arrived my homestay house, but I was really happy.

Little Italy

I went Little Italy today. I just took a walk with my friend, but it was great. Every avenue in Toronto have different face. I really like to see a lot of face of Toronto. The area, which I went today, reminds me Quebec city. I went there in the end of April in this year. I do like the Europian style city so now I'm dreaming to go to Europe with my friend when I graduate from my Japanese University. I wish I could go there... Oh! One really really cute young dog approched so much to me on the road(*^_^*) He softly bit and madly lick my hands and he tyied to kiss me. I love animals. So sweet... The picture below is Quebec city. I want to live there!

Recently, I'm homesick again... I really miss everything in Japan such as friends, food, clothes, bath, family, my room and my boyfriend. Ohhhhhh I love Japan... To tell the truth, if I could I want to go back Japan now. But I know that I just have 7 more weeks so I should enjoy and study hard. It's ok when I spend time with friends but when I be alone, I feel so sad... Most of my friends said they don't miss so much. I think I'm little bit imature if I consider my age...but...that's the present me, Ayana. I think I don't have to pretend like "I'm ok!!". I really miss Japan but I know when I go back to there, I will miss English. Ohhhhhhh... What am I going to do in Japan...no English!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Recently, I'm down...

Toront Blue Jays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!University Life

On sunday, I went to basaball game!!!!!!!!!!!Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Toronto Blue Jays V.S. NY Yankees. It was awesome, amazing, splendid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Acctually, I really wanted to see Matusi, who is a famous Yankees Japanese player, but unfortunately, he was not in the game. I heard he has problem on his knee now. After I bought "cheapest "tickes I and my friend enter the statium. I like that moment when I enter there. I walked little dark hallway and went through narrow steps. The wonderful stadium came into my whole veiw. An enormouse amount of excited people, green field, straong sunshine...awesome!! Our seats were on the most highest level and it was great. Even if it is little bit far from field, I could see every thing and every player except bench which all players were sitting.
My friend have a great background knowledge aboout baseball, and I noticed the difference between Japan and here. In Japan, some people craze about cheering. They enjoy screaming more than the game itself. But in here a lot of people were really consenterateing the game and enjoying screaming. I liked to here all people say "ohhhhhhhhhh" or "ahhhhhhh"together when the player did bad play. It was funny. Ohhhhhhhhhhh. And there were a lot of "wave". Of course, I became one of the wave with screaming!!

I bought Blue Jays T-shirt. When I enter the stadium I received some player's cards for free. And one of the card was a scrach card and mine was discount card for T-shirts, so I bought one $5 off. I wish I knew the players who are in my card. If I know a lot about Blue Jays, I could enjoy more.

I really wanted to talk more with a man who was sitting next to me, but he was a great fan of NY Ynkees. He looked like he didn't want to talk to me so I hasitated to conversate with him. Next time I will go to Ichiro's game. At that time, maybe I will try to speak more. Hopefully, both Blue Jays and Ichiro Fan will sit next to me.

B-Day Party

On Saturday, I went to my hostmother's grand child's birthday party. It was awesome!!!!!!!! There were 24 people and they said that this was just half of their families. I'm shy girl; therefore, at first, I was soooooooo nervouse. However, all people were so kind and I couldn't stop talking. The house was sooooo huge and soooooo clean!!!! It was like a expensive hotel(>_<)
One 16 year old girl was very interested in me so we talked a lot. Fashion, music, movie, school and so on...It was pleasure moment!! Oh! In addtion, she was extreamly beautiful...
One thing that I was surprized is that my homestay mother and I was late to go party, like 10 minutes, but nobody was there!!!!! Japanese people usually go on time or 5 minutes earlier so I was surprised. One day when I went my friend's b-party, all Japanese come 10 minutes before. That was funny(*^_^*)
I found one big cultural difference. In Canada, the birthday-person hold a party and the person invite otheres. Japan is opposit. Usually, friends plan a party and the birthday- person is invited. It is very interesting...

Game!!

Today, I and my friend start new game. We are from same country so when we talk each other, we always use Japanese so often. This is not good for us. We have to leave Toronto in 2 months so it's better to use English us much as we can. Therefore we made this game "don't use Japanese". The rule is that if we use Japanese, we have to pay 25 cents even if it's just little word. And today, I lost the game...(-_-) When we get a lot of money from this game, we are going to spend that money to buy ice-cream(^u^)

My seminer class

Seminer class began!!! I chose "Pronounciation" this time because I still have problem and I want to improve it. Today, we practice "r" and "l" which are the most difficult sounds for me. I practice a lot during the class so my tongue is little bit hurt now...(>_<) Now I know what my problem is and I learned where should I put my tongue in the mouth. I'm dreaming one day I become good English speaker but I don't want and can't to be a "perfect" English speaker. I think the accent that I have can tell other people who I am. It's kind of personality so I don't need to be perfect at least other people can understand what I'm talking about. One day my teacher said "intonation" can also tell what kind of person I am so I want to practice intonation. However, I don't know how I can improve it or at first I have to know wether I have a strange intonation or not. I might have, though.

Anyway this is my last session, so I want to do what I want. I don't want to regret when I go back to Japan like "Oh~I should have spoken a lot" or "Ah~I wanted to do (something)". I'm little bit worried about my core class because it is little bit hard for me especially when someone talks or disucusses about business or economics or politics. I have a very poor back ground related to that topics. Although it is really tough to stay in level 6, I guess it is very good for me. Well..I'll try...

On Friday, I went to Okonomi House in downtown with my friends. Okonomiyaki is very famouse Japanese food especially in Western part of Japan. Actually, my mother come from the province which is known for Okonomiyaki so I was really excited!!! Is was not Western style Okonomiyaki but the tatse was good so I enjoyed very much(*^_^*)
If I hang out with foreign students, it is very good for practice English. I'm not good at communicate with people even in Japanese so it is little bit tough for me. kkk. I came here to improve my all English skill of course it include SPEAKING. Although it is difficult to communicate, I knew I need practice so... I'll do my best!!

Here is the adress★If you want, try it!!

On Sunday, I went to Casa Loma.
It was fantaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaastic!!!!!!!! I really love chastle or palace so I was so excited!!!!!!!! When I went there there was event. A lot of people dressed up old clothes and performed some old celemony. I felt like I was in past time. I think Casa Loma looks like Disney movie. Actually I really love movies especially Disney movies. English is not so difficult ,nor are there a lot slang and bad words. Befere I came here I always watched them. It was little bit sad because there was no time to look around slowly so I couldn't read articles in the house. I want to learn the back ground of that house. Maybe next time(^-^)
